This seems like a no-brainer, but it’s something that has to be said. I’ve seen countless new and not-so-new network marketers waste hours and hours on pointless activities. What’s worse, I see people trying to “multi-task” instead of just focusing on one project until it’s finished.

First, determine which activities are going to actually generate profits for your business. Schedule time for these activities, whether it’s writing articles for your blog, posting classified ads, posting PPC ads, or actively prospecting via telephone or online chat.

During your scheduled times, don’t multi-task. This is one of the most important network marketing tips I’ve learned. When you interrupt a task to go and check your email or check the news or whatever, when you return it takes you several minutes to refocus on your task. This adds up to a lot of wasted time in the run of a day. Keep your head down. Focus on the task at hand, and when you’re finished, take a break.

Network Marketing Tips: #2 Invest In Your Team

Network marketing is a business that’s based on people helping people. With just about any MLM company, a lot of your profits, and certainly your residual profits, come from the efforts of other people. That’s the magical “leverage” we all talk about.

Here’s a couple of network marketing tips to help you invest in your team … without spending your entire day babysitting them:

- Use online tools like videos and blog posts to provide training to newbies. The go-getters will take this training and run with it. They’ll watch every video you create (without you having to tell them to) and they’ll study and apply every word of advice you write. If people aren’t making use of the training you provide … don’t waste too much time on them. Chances are they’re not going to take their business very seriously.

- Use webinars and teleconferences to provide ongoing training to your team. This again schedules your training time, so you’re not constantly interrupted with one-off questions. Provide answers to known questions during your webinar, and then open it up for people to ask additional questions.
